 Mahoney select Pirro and Young to chair transition team November 08, 2007
Onondaga County Executive-elect Joanie Mahoney tapped two familiar names Wednesday to serve as honorary chairs of her transition team: the current county executive, Nicholas Pirro, and former Syracuse Mayor Tom Young. "This is outside of politics; that's what I've said all along," Mahoney said about her selection of Young - who backed Democrats Ed Ryan, then Bill Magnarelli, in their quests for county executive - and Pirro, who backed Dale Sweetland until he lost to Mahoney in the Republican primary.
